Description
Struck by The Royal Mint in 999.9 fine gold, this 2016 Britannia £25 Proof is graded a flawless PF70 by NGC, the highest grade possible for a proof coin. With a strictly limited mintage of just 729 pieces worldwide, it is a superb example of modern British proof minting. The reverse by Suzie Zamit presents a contemporary portrayal of Britannia standing with trident and shield, accompanied by a lion, symbolising strength and national pride.
The obverse features Jody Clark’s fifth portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Produced using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks, the coin displays exceptional detail and mirrored fields.
